Destinations

We sail to a number of destinations around southwest Devon and the Engish Channel. Our most popular destinations are listed below, however you are not limited to these destinations.

Torquay
50' 32,36'N
03' 29,00'W
Torquay Centre of the self-styled English Riviera, Torbay is the nearest thing to Cannes or Nice you are likely to find on a West Country cruise. Torquay Marina is set amidst an exotic backdrop of parks, gardens and elegant Georgian terraces. The beauty of the place, its convenience and its luxury, make this a favourite for the gilded yachtsman.

Dartmouth
50' 19,95'N
03' 33,05'W
The River Dart is a classic West Country haven with a memorbale approach, with Kingswear Castle and Dartmouth Castle to the west. Further up the river is the Britannia Royal Naval College, which has dominated the view since 1905. Dartmouth has been the Royal Navy's primarly officer training establishment since 1863. Further up the river there is Totnes, a very attractive and unspoiled medieval town. Well worth a visit.

Salcombe
50' 13,49'N
03' 46,48'W
A popular if somewhat exclusive haunt of the wealthy, which were attracted by the romantic beauty, and mild, almost Mediterranean climate. There is an excellent selection of restaurants and bistros and some beautiful anchorages with sandy beaches to explore.

Plymouth
50' 19,17'N
04' 08,23'W
Plymouth is a naval port and has one of the finest natural harbours in the country, with an attractive anchorage known as Cawsands bay to the west, and undoubtedly one of the classic havens of the entire south cost the small but beautiful River Yealm.

The Channel Islands

Jersey
40' 08,86'W
02' 06,08'W
Jersey is the largest and most southerly of the Channel Islands and enjoys an enviable position of the Gulf of St. Malo, with a fascinating selection of Normany and Birttany harbours are only a short days sail away.

Guernsey
49' 27,41'N
21' 31,20'W
From Dartmouth it is a 70-mile passage to St Peters Port in Guernsey, which is the second largest of the Channel Islands. This crossing makes for some good navigation and pilotage excercises, and would also class for Yacthmaster qualifying passage. Also it is a good opportunity to stock up on wine/spirits and cigarettes as the tax regime is somewhat cheaper than the U.K.
